Staffordshire Pottery cow creamer


  • Earthenware figure of a dairy cow standing on a simple base with tree trunk for support.
  • The cow is decorated with iron red patches while the base has a few applied flowers for decoration


  • The tail, ears and tips of the horns are missing along with the teets of the udder.
  • Several leaves from the applied bocage decoration are also fragmented or missing, surface soiled.


  • Based on research, for size and shape, the missing areas where modelled in wax from which silicone rubber moulds were taken.
  • The moulds were cast with tinted epoxy resin and detail of the enamel colours hand retouched.
